Dr. Stephanie Clintonia Boddie

Academic Excellence
Before joining Baylor University, Dr. Boddie served as an assistant professor at Washington University in St. Louis. She has also held prestigious fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania and Carnegie Mellon University. At Baylor, Dr. Boddie holds faculty appointments across three different areas, teaching in the Garland School of Social Work, Truett Seminary, and the School of Education.
Recognitions and Achievements
Dr. Boddie's contributions to academia and social welfare are extensive. She was selected for Baylor’s Rising Stars Fellowship program and has co-authored several books and edited volumes. Additionally, her research has led to the production of four short films, showcasing her ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
Community Engagement
Dr. Boddie is deeply committed to community engagement and student mentorship. She partnered with Ana O’Quin, an undergraduate student in the School of Social Work, to receive the prestigious 2019 Hatfield Student-Faculty Research Prize for their study on teen food insecurity in Waco. Dr. Boddie also led a group of graduate students from various Baylor schools in a project to build a greenhouse at Connally Elementary School in Waco, highlighting her dedication to practical, hands-on education.
